New
Chair, Hon. Secretary and Executive for
Irish College of Psychiatrists
The first elections
to the Executive of the newly formed Irish College of Psychiatrists
were held this month and the results are posted below. The Executive
will hold office for two years from 2 July 2003 – and are
also eligible to stand for election for a second two-year term.
Dr Colette Halpin,
outgoing Chairperson, said to-day, "I want to congratulate
all of the officers on their election. I wish Dr Kate Ganter and
the entire Executive every success over the next two years. There
are challenging times ahead for Psychiatry and psychiatrists –
and The Irish College now has the structure and commitment to
ensure the services to our patients are maximised in all respects"
