Psychiatry
Annual Research Prize Day
The All-Ireland Institute of Psychiatry (incorporating
the Irish College of Psychiatrists and the Northern Ireland Division)
held its Annual Research Prize Day as part of its conference in
the Armagh City Hotel on the 6th – 7th November.
The event was well supported, with 8 oral presentations and 21
poster presentation from psychiatrists, north and south.
The winners were as follows:
- Dr Brendan Kelly, for his presentation on "
Minor Physical Anomalies in Bipolar Disorder and Schizophrenia
"
- Dr. Leona Judge for her poster on "Depression
in the Acutely-Ill Hospitalised Elderly"
The Annual Research Prize Day
is sponsored by Wyeth Pharmaceuticals. The meeting was attended
by over 160 psychiatrists North and South.
